Challenge #122 is: emergency room! A lot of things happen in emergency rooms. Struggling to salvage the aftermath of a horrible accident, the anxious miracle of new life, the great relief of an insiduous illness fought back, the slow, winding decline of life. Give us something that happens in an emergency room -- it doesn't have to literally be set in one, though, just something that would be appropriate for that setting.

Usual limits apply: 500 word optional length limit, 1 hour optional time limit. Good luck everyone, and keep suggesting quotes and challenges!

Title: A Day at the Lake
Author: [info]plotbunnydoom
Subject: Assassins; Jaharb, Leon
Rating: PG, for bad attitudes.
Notes: Jaharb, Yuliav, and Viers are all [info]tsunobrat's. She lets me play with them. Jaharb is an evil, scary man who heads an assassin academy (and also happens to be a very powerful sorcerer-thing). He is currently angsting about relationship issues. Leon is one of the only people brave/stupid enough to try to make him feel better. Oh yes, and since Jaharb is gayer then a bucket full of junebugs, the children he refers to are not his own--they're his students.

Usual limits apply: 500 word optional length limit, 1 hour optional time limit. Good luck everyone, and keep suggesting quotes and challenges!

Mood: good good
Music: nothin'

Title: Satisfying a Craving
Author: [info]terredancer
Subject: Moonlight & Shadow; Terre, Marcus
Rating: PG
Challenge: #119 - Things You Can't Have (500 words, under an hour)
Notes: Yeah, this prompt calls differently to different characters, and Terre's been in my head since the start of this. Even with JD's interference. I probably need to eventually figure out when this whole issue actually started.

Subject: Momento Mori, Benjamin and Star
Rating: PG
Challenge: #119--Things you can't have, 1,598 words, a couple of hours
Notes: This prompt was made for these characters. *Evil laughter* Continuation of my challenge #118 post. Sorry this is so long again, I just can't quit writing these characters!

Challenge #119! This week's theme is -- things you can't have! What do your characters crave for that they can't have? What is it about the forbidden that draws people? Does it belong to someone else, is it illegal, is it just plain a bad idea? Do you go for it anyway? Give us a scenario with something that can't be had.

As usual -- 60 minute optional time limit, 500 word optional length limit. Good luck everyone, and keep suggesting quotes and challenges.

Title: Re-Grounding
Author: [info]terredancer
Subject: The Graduates; Max, Bastian (with occasional mentions of Birgit)
Rating: PG
Challenge: #118 - Foreign (over time-limit, and slightly over word-limit as well)
Notes: Sadly, I've never been abroad, so some of the descriptions are vague, but the characters spent a few months wandering cheerfully through foreign streets like they owned them. With the exception of the one who's not so cheerful. Who I tend to focus on most of all. One of these years I'll actually focus on one of them instead. I think.

Title: Shopping Trip
Author: [info]heatherlayne_n
Subject: Momento Mori, Benjamin and Star
Rating: PG
Challenge: #118--Foreign, 1,542 words (sorry it's so long!), about 2 hours total (!!!)
Notes: I work in the shop this is set in, and I set it there mainly out of my own familiarity with it, but also because I thought I'd be mean to Benjamin for a change. ;) Yes, some of the employees really do act like that, though I try not to, too much. Also, please tell me if it's really weird that there are both perspectives in this one piece. I'm curious if that works in "real writing."

Challenge #118! This week's theme is -- foreign! Has your character come across something or someone unusual, or are they the one in an unfamiliar land where they're the outsider? Give us an instance where something is foreign!

As usual -- 60 minute optional time limit, 500 word optional length limit. Good luck everyone, and keep suggesting quotes and challenges.

Title: Let it Burn
Author: [info]sawritings
Subject: Unnamed characters in an unnamed world, woo!
Rating: PG-13 for language and 'adult themes'
Challenge: #117--Assumptions, 726 words, about 45 mins
Notes: Sorry for the lack of creativity in naming the characters or the universe yet. It's a mix of sci fi and fantasy, with some other genres mixed in for good measure. I was sifting through some old snippets of writing and came across ideas for this story, so decided to pull these characters from it and explore a bit.

Title: Office Hours 2
Author: [info]heatherlayne_n
Subject: Momento Mori, Benjamin and Star
Rating: PG
Challenge: #117--Assumptions, 596 words, about half an hour
Notes: For lack of a better name, I'm sticking to "Momento Mori" for this 'verse; that was the tentative name of the novel these characters come from. This happens about an hour after the events of my last post for challenge #116.

Challenge #117! This week's theme is -- assumptions! We all know what they say about when we assume things: it makes an... well, we all know. Pick such a guess and work off it. Maybe it was a false one, maybe it was right; maybe it never came to pass but someone noticed it. Give us an assumption.

As usual -- 60 minute optional time limit, 500 word optional length limit. Good luck everyone, and keep suggesting quotes and challenges.

Title: White Shoes
Author: [info]sawritings
Subject: Original, unnamed character
Rating: PG
Challenge: #116, 500 words exactly, about 30 minutes
Notes: My first post on this account. I had one some time ago on the sinnedaria account, but it's no longer really active, and this is my actual writing blog, so, here I am. :) Breaking from fantasy comfort zone here.
